Information about The Healthy Schools Programme
Some Schools in Westminster have joined The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Healthy Schools Programme, which aims to give schools support to improve the health and well being of the whole school community. To join the programme each school forms a task group, which represents all the members of their school community – teachers, parents, pupils, school nurse, governors, etc. This group will review all the healthy things the school is currently doing and make plans for improving these or for starting new projects or activities.

A team is allocated to support schools through this process and help them access services from the Schools Health Team who can work with schools on a whole range of health issues such as healthy eating, healthy teeth, sport and drug education,

Parents are very important in this process and are welcome to get involved in the task group or the activities that the group plans.
